Greg Porter is an experienced fundraising professional dedicated to supporting the arts and inspiring the next generation of musicians. He believes music can help provide a voice to those who cannot find the words to express themselves.
Prior to joining the American Pianists Association staff, Greg served as the Development and Database Assistant at Christel House International and has had several fundraising internships with the Eiteljorg Museum, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, and the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir. He has received his Certificate in Fund Raising Management from The Fund Raising School and his Raiser’s Edge Fundamental and Professional Certifications from Blackbaud.
Greg is a member of the Indiana Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Twin Bridges Club of Toastmasters International. He graduated from Butler University in 2014 with a B.S. in Arts Administration and a minor in Strategic Communication.
In addition to Greg’s nonprofit experience, he plays the tuba and performs with the Indianapolis Brass Choir and the West Indy Winds.
