As a cultural ambassador for the U.S. State Department, he has fostered cultural exchange and promoted diplomacy through performances in the Middle East and North Africa. He is a piano professor at the UMKC Conservatory and an honorary guest professor at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music in China.

Pittsburg State University's annual Solo and Chamber Music Series this year will feature a number of musicians and musical groups from around the world.

Each performance will take place in McCray Hall's Sharon Kay Dean Recital Hall on the Pitt State campus.

Thomas Rosenkranz is the winner of the 2003 American Pianists Awards.
