Vivid, dazzling pictures of Rome painted by a master symphonist. Respighi’s symphonic poems evoke the sights and sounds of the Eternal City, from its centuries-old trees that dominate the landscape, to its extraordinary fountains. The concert opens with a masterpiece by Mary Lou Williams highlighting each of the twelve astrological signs, performed by Ohio native and star jazz/classical pianist Aaron Diehl.
