Jazz on the Ave | American Pianists Awards Kickoff

Starting on September 18, 2022 3:30 pm
Tags: Jazz, Free

We welcome the five finalists of the 2023 American Pianists Awards—Caelan Cardello, Esteban Castro, Paul Cornish, Thomas Linger and Isaiah J. Thompson—to Indianapolis for the first time! They will perform in a FREE community concert at Madam Walker Legacy Center. Jazz on the Ave kicks off a season in which one finalist will win the Cole Porter Jazz Fellowship and the top prize, valued at over $200,000.

Due to extraordinary interest from the community, we have reached our pre-registration limit. We are holding a few seats for walk-up audience, and we encourage those who registered to arrive early!

Valet parking will be available at $10 at the entrance behind the Madam Walker Legacy Center off Indiana Avenue. Free surface parking is available across the street from the Madam Walker as well as the Gateway Parking Garage, which has a $7 fee. Entrances to both are off of N California St (see map for reference)
