Extraordinary pianist Emmet Cohen will perform with his trio in Jassmine!

The only 31-year-old artist is currently one of the most important figures of his generation on the New York jazz scene. In Emmet's music, the past is always present - we can easily find many references to the Harlem climate of the 1920s.

Following his critically acclaimed 2021 debut Future Stride on Mack Avenue Records, the new album Uptown in Orbit celebrates the sacred connections and sonic evolution between Cohen and his trio mates bassist Russell Hall and drummer Kyle Poole. The album also carries the energy of trumpeter Sean Jones and saxophonist Patrick Bartley.

Cohen and his trio live and play the truth they take for granted: “All music and art is modern. If you create in the moment, it is current and lives and breathes with the creator. Uptown in Orbit addresses this philosophy through both repertoire and production.
