New Orleans pianist and composer Sullivan Fortner follows a line of improvisers, masters of time and every iteration of the blues. Now based in New York, Fortner has been recognized in several categories of the DownBeat Critics Poll, winning first place in Rising Star Piano and Rising Star Jazz Artist.

Sullivan Fortner is the winner of the 2015 American Pianists Awards.
